Marketman has been in Di Paolo, he probably doesn't remember because we used to go there years ago for fresh mozzarella before Citarella, et al. began to carry all the Italian goodies.

Hi,MM. So glad to see you are in the Big Apple. The next time you come around NYC, let me know and I will take you to little known streets and restaurants I love and maybe you, too and now that fall is almost there, it is absolutely gorgeous with all the yellow, gold, red foliage. So many things to do, museums to see, pumpkin and apple picking, wine tasting and that is why New York has so much energy and culture and I love it. Thanks for having such an informative blog.

Correction. Di Palo is in Little Italy, not Soho. It's at Grand and Moss. Don't miss it, you will absolutely flip! But don't go on week-ends. I have waited in line for up to 2 hours to get served! Go at odd hours while all the New Yorkers are at work.

Woody glad you enjoyed the NY posts; it is a city that I love and consider a second home. I have to try the two places you mentioned as I have not been to either. Just too much to do in the Big Apple. Thanks for visiting the marketmanila website.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your New York trip. You talked about all the places I go to when I visit, including the church, which is the parish of my son. 2 favorite places of mine were not mentioned. City Bakery on 18th near 5th, just north of Union Sq, for the most delicious hot chocolate (or iced hot chocolate in the summer), and Di Palo in Soho for the best of Italian cheese, vinegars, olive oils, etc. I love your web site, keep up the good work!
