Snapshots of the floral arrangements on offer at Armani Fiori in Hong Kong the last time I was there… Above, a couple of large lady’s slippers orchids, if I am not mistaken, in a very bright hue of light green…
The store is mostly glass, white walls and abundant light sources. Arrangements are tight and usually single or just a few types of flowers in use with greens to add a sculptural, almost architectural feel. Many of these easily replicable at home with just a little bit of practice… :)
Lots of newly arrived blooms on the counters. Besides a retail business, I suspect the shop does a lot of large arrangements for nearby top-end boutiques and shops, the several Armani clothing boutiques included.
The hardy leaves are in some ways, almost unnaturally contorted, some looked almost “stapled” to keep their shape, though I suspect they just tie the leaves down with some raffia or twine.
How much simpler can this get… get two blooming phaelaenopsis orchids and stick them in a square vase and add some moss…
These almost look like modern bridal bouquets, but I think they are meant for vases in rather modern surroundings, or possibly some posh executive office.
Another take on the same theme…not sure I like this one much at all.
And one last arrangement from the windows of Armani Fiori.

This reminds me of my favorite flower shop in Tokyo – U. Goto Florist. Their window displays were always amazing. I used to pass by just to look at their arrangements.

Happy Birthday! The next time you’re in HKG you might want to check out the flowers at Four Seasons. They’re arranged by the same florists and are a bit larger in scale compared to the ones on display in the shop. Oh and it’s Armani Fiori :)

Jaimie, hahaha, sorry, I just got that now. Thanks. Bad speller. It’s not like the store’s name wasn’t plastered on their door in the second photo. :)
