Art in The Park, Saturday 27 February 2010

We have acquired several nice works of art over the years at the Museum Foundation of the Philippines bi-annual art fairs at the Jaime Velazquez Park in Salcedo Village. All of the pieces featured are priced at less than PHP20,000 (but we have acquired pottery and coconut art for much less) and part of the proceeds benefit the foundation’s various programs. For more information, please see their formal announcement, here. Don’t forget Art in the Park from 2pm to 10pm this Saturday, 27 February 2010.

  1. my friend and i have started collecting art works last year… and i must say, it’s an expensive hobby! :) if there are good artworks less than 20, we’re gonna be there. thanks mm :)

  2. Hi MM! It’s exciting since its the day is fast-approaching, Lea Lim is my cousin and she’s working on it almost 24 hours a day. Thanks for the post. I am also spreading the word. God bless!

  3. Where are the artists that can still paint realistic pictures. Most of the art or paintings these days are abstract art. This to me is just way of saying I can’t draw faces of people like those paintings in Italy during the renaissance era.

And for them to charge P20,000 for something that looks like what my kid drew in pre-school.

  4. Hi there! I went to Art in the Park last year an it was a great affair. I told friends and family about it after and they were peeved at me for only telling them about it after. Will there be one this year? I want to make sure that i don’t miss it and i tell those friends and family to go as well. Please let me know MM.

    Thanks!
