I found 4 large barbecued beef ribs in the deep freeze, leftovers from a beach meal 3+ weeks ago, and they looked pretty grim once defrosted.

When you order a steak at a Paris bistro, instead of saying “rare”, many folks ask for their steak “blue”, the hue of the meat when it is so rare/raw that it is purplish blue.

Marketman’s version of Meat & Bread’s lamb’s neck sandwich was good, but definitely fell short of the practiced sophistication of the original.
