alicia, the boxes wont be here for two months or so… so maybe when they get here? :) jdawgg, believe it or not, they already have Krispy Kreme stores in Manila. I did a post on Krispy Kreme several months back and yes, their cakey doughnuts are good and I buy them… I find the other ones just too sweet.

It brings back memories of Brooklyn….Entenmann donuts. I love their chocolate donuts dipped in milk or with coffee. I used to buy these at the Associate grocery ( not sure if it’s still there )at de kalb near the Brooklyn Hospital after my medical duty. I also love Junior’s cheesecake also located at De kalb.

i like your blog!!! yes, i was one of the lurkers… hehee… discovered your blog like maybe a couple of months ago…
those calorie content on each food package here in the US made me shy away from my favorite pastries. haven’t had even a single doughnut for months now… i see those doughnuts at the market everytime and your post just made my mouth water. forget about the calories! i’m trying them this week…
my husband does like california donuts though. and i do think they’re baked on site therefore more fresh…

Entenmann is an institution for baked goods and pretty much affordable! It captures the taste of toddlers to let me say retirees.

I love Entenmann’s pound cake and cheese cake. Their product is very consistent anywhere you go in the United States even in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Best quality if not the best in the world. The word is “product consistency”.We have better cakes in the Philippines but not like Entenmann who is into mass production and still retaining its good quality.It is like Gardenia’s famous famous bread.

Hey Marketman,

You ever tried KrispyKreme Doughnuts? Got them out here in D.C. that’s Daly City in California aka: Manila Town of the West. Not to shy away from Entenmann box doughnuts that you buy at a local grocery store that’s been sitting there for days. KrspyKreme makes Entenmman doughnuts looks like a welfare case. Give it a try when you’re around my side of town.

I particularly like the Louisianna Crunch Cake and their version of chocolate donut holes. I feel no shame at all finishing the whole cake by myself. When I don’t see the item in the store I usually talk to the manager and request that they restock it.
