I have been a professional chocolatier (that's how i earn my living.) for several years now and beleive me, La Maison is the chocolatier's chocolatier. We in the super premium chocolate industry look up to Robert Linxe (founder of La Maison) as our idol.

Every year our company buys about 25 pounds of chocolates from several super premium chocolatiers (about 10 old and newly established shops) from Paris to taste test and inspire us. Can you imagine sitting down with 6 other chocolatiers over a span of 5 days and tasting and taking notes on how they look, smell, feel, taste, etc.. And every year, La Maison always come out consistently at the top in all aspects.

Talking of our job of tasting different chocolates, the first 2 days is ok, but by the 3rd day it becomes hard work...But as they say, somebody's got to do it!!!

"if she or he turns her/his nose up at this gift, look for someone else more worthy, and eat the chocolates yourself"

This is one VERY GOOD advice MarketMan, very well said.. ;P
