Hi MM…your family and crew’s relief work is one of the reasons why i will never accept the government’s explanations of its difficulty in giving aid to the yolanda victims…the super-typhoon should be a wake-up call for all those who are still blind to the ineptitude, incompetence and insensitivity of the people running our country…it’s scary to think what will happen to future Filipinos if this kind of people are allowed to continue to run the country…

on a lighter note, God bless you and your family and the whole Zubuchon family…your work is a testament that humanity is still alive and abundant in us Filipinos…

Carol, we are saving some of the donations for ONE MORE TRUCKLOAD of food and hopefully some goodies to be delivered say mid-December as our “Christmas” run… the crew is quite exhausted at this point after 2.5 weeks of normal work and our sorties up North, so we intend to slow down this weekend until mid-December to deliver anything that remains of funds received. Thank you, MM for sharing this.. We have several caravans similar to this in Iloilo also. It seems the roads are easier to navigate, aside from the islands off Kalibo and Capiz.. Relief goods got to typhoon-ravaged towns in a few days, and I have seen many pictures of AFP helicopters landing in remote areas delivering food and water..

Now, building materials are on the way. Several hundreds of generators and thousands of small fishing boats have been donated by Panay businessmen… I’ll try to send you pictures..

These ” politicians” could rot where the ‘sun don’t shine’.. I’m fuming!

Corrine – There is a video of an interview done by Lucy Torres-Gomez circulating around the web confirming that such abhorrent practice exists. Aids were given based on political party lines. This was really appalling and I cannot comprehend how can someone be so heartless as to deny assistance to someone in need just because they didn’t vote for their candidate.
