yes should be a good night. would be there myself (my sister has organised it i believe) but i am still out of the country unfortunately. Enjoy. Margarita is a natural cook, and if you ask me was probably italian in her past life.

speaking of italy, have spent the better part of a month going around spain and france, eating of course, and i have to say: italian is the best cuisine in europe. There, i’ve said it. france comes in second, and maybe Turkey third. yes im aware of the latest trends in the basque region and catalunya, ferran adria, el bulli, blah blah, but for everyday normal meals anywhere in the country, italian is tops. you may disagree…but you’d be wrong, haha.

And P2500 for all that sensational food and tasteful live music is a steal, believe me. One of those rare pinoy foodie events that are worth checking out.

If I were in Manila, that is a definite “go to” event! I heard Coke Bolipata and his brother play witht he Pundaquit ensemble in Zambales years ago. They established a music school a la music commune out there and the whole setting was quite inspiring. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! The holidays are truly creeping up on us! Gotta get ready to cook another 20+ lb turkey!

wow that sounds like a very nice evening. i love how alfonso bolipata plays. we have a cd where he and his brother played opm music (think george canseco/sharon cuneta songs), but they played it so well. galing!

Egad that’s an arm and a leg (or two) right there. Of course one could argue that you would spend P2500 if you went all out in Prince Albert or Old Manila anyway.

Someone sent me an invitation to this too, but considering how many times I’m eating out that week as it is, something like this would just be overkill. It does sound very tempting, though. An “ancient” menu by Margarita Fores, beautiful music, the rare chance to see the inside of the mansion, PLUS the added treat of enjoying MM and Mrs. MM’s company…how perfect a night would that be?! :-)
