BDO is charging P50 for cash deposits to provincial branches and no charge if you do a Check deposit. i really cant figure out what’s the difference. I think its more logical to charge for those check deposits as this would need clearing.

Hi, MM. I made my tiny drop in the bucket through BDO Berkeley Katipunan and didn’t think anything of the Php 50 surcharge. I figured well, okay, I’d rather shoulder the fee than let my donation get caught in red tape or get lost. Thanks to you and your family and staff for your compassion. I was going to deposit in BDO Global City but was informed by the teller they have a P50 surcharge to deposit to accounts in the provinces. The teller informed me that this surcharge applies whether you make the transfer through your ATM or deposit over the counter.

I used indiegogo instead, as I’d rather pay extra for the service from indiegogo than pay for this this weird surcharge from BDO.

Karr, hmmm, that hasn’t been a problem elsewhere. Did you deposit by cash or by cheque? I think some branches impose the bizarre charge on cash deposits, which seems illogical. My apologies for the inconvenience.
