Happy Easter MM, Family and Crew! This is a great post, love the photos. Also, remember reading the great “FISHPAN”, hahaha. Oh bought a copy of the magazine thru Zinio (not related or working with them), and now its in my iPad whew much easier to carry around.

Does this publication mean more judicious deployment of burloloys in Philippine homes from now on?

If there are still lateros (tin-smiths or tinkers) straggling it out back there, they should be able to retin your copper fish pan at no great cost. There use to be at least one in every town and where there wasn’t, there were always itinerant ones who did their periodic rounds.

Thanks La Emperor and to all those who were so kind to send Easter greetings… we hope you had a good Easter too. mel, if you mean the fish would be salty? No, it doesn’t come out particularly salty, the salt forms a crust and the fish steams in its own natural juices. If you mean the pan will be damaged by the salt… it is already tin challenged, so a good wash with soap and water afterwards and an oiling should be okay until the next unusual use… Thanks Natie! Sharlene, it was an effortless shoot from my perspective, thanks for doing all the work! :)

It was great working with you for this feature Marketman! Glad that the farms/producers were given spotlight in the story. Their products are superbly fresh and made way for the fabulous lunch we enjoyed after the shoot.
