I was in my Saturday market stall this morning and someone bought an orchid plant and then she said to me " are you the one that Marketman was referring to in his blog about the lumpia cooked and uncooked - I was laughing while reading it" and then we both laughed together...she said she doesn't comment here - only reads..so if you're reading this now, maybe you're laughing again..

Haha, I just rolled some lumpia a few days ago and as I read this I thought that the wrapper I used would not make it "delicious" to eat uncooked at all. Glad it was good for you MM!

Thanks for sharing the recipe Greens and Blossoms!

I understand completely why MM might mistake it for fresh lumpia; my Nanay E uses that kind of wrapper for her fresh lumpia as she can no longer be bothered to make the crepe-type one.

@Connie...forgot to put in the recipe to add the marinated chicken after the garlic...yes the chicken was cooked when MM ate the "uncooked" wrapper - as the filling was cooked...if MM read my note card and the attached delivery receipt before opening the plastic container, he would read that I wrote it's supposed to be fried :-)....I am flattered that he wanted to try it right away disregarding the thickness of the wrapper :-)
