If doing it alone (and therefore with no one to hold the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner for you), you can get a wide piece of masking tape, fold it in half lengthwise, and stick the bottom half on the wall with the upper half sticky side up perpendicular to the wall (i hope that makes sense). That way, the sticky part of the masking tape can catch majority of the drilled off bits.

Start with the bigger piece and make sure it is eye-level. If you are aiming for a salon look, work your way through around this main piece. And use proper hanging nails please. Check out http://www.apartment therapy.com for tons of advice.

If you’re hanging multiple frames of different sizes together and you want to see if they work, you should cut out paper with the same size and shape of your frames and arrange it first on your wall using scotch tape. That way you can plan out, adjust and see if they are in harmony with one another before putting any hole on your wall.
