Top burger for me so far is the one from Raoul’s bar burger. Can only ordered on the bar and it’s dipped in au poivre sauce. This burger just beat out Minetta Tavern’s black label burger for me, at least in NYC.

The NYTimes article was written by Ligaya Mishan, also Fil-Am (note the name, Ligaya). I look forward to her weekly column on restaurants around NYC. In my opinion, she is a better writer than their top food critic, Pete Wells.

Its an interesting time for Filipino food in the states. To me its Filipino food’s 2nd coming. But unlike before where its about the dishes, today its all about the tastes or flavors of being Filipino.

Actually a one-two finish as 1st runner up, Dale Talde (Top Chef contestant) is Filipino.
