Then I called out to my husband, “P, Marketman stayed in the same hotel we stayed at!” he laughed out loud too. too bad we missed each other by a few days. you’d left by the time we arrived from Tofino.
I love the hotel’s location. We walked everywhere except on the day we went to Bee Kim Heng for their singapore style jerky. And agree on the towels. The first one I used shed fiber all over my skin and hair. The other towels and the replacement were fine though.
did you see their bulldog mascot at the lobby?
also, half a block away is Smile Thai Wellness. finally had a 2-hour Traditional Thai massage after being deprived of the real thing for years!!

Great choice — especially for the price!! It sure beats shlepping to a chain hotel further out in Coal Harbour in some ways. Let me know if you need some hotel/restaurant advice next time you visit.

This is my first time to post here. I have done a lot of back reading in your wonderful blog. I noticed that you always have stuff sent over from the US and have been there on nice vacations quite a number of times.. I was inspired by this and asked some friends if they could send me a couple of balikbayan boxes and thankfully they agreed! What food/appliances/etc. do you advise to buy in the states? Preferably those that i can order/pay online from Manila and just have it sent over to my friend’s house in the US so it would be more convenient.

Your feedback on this would be much appreciated.
