I also had over 200 at one time. all the guys at work use to bid on them when I would have to make room for newer ones. I have only recently got out of direct sales am now focus on my web site www.treehouse43mall.com Not sure about you but it has taken some getting use to, not wearing a tie. But I am learning too get by without one, however, I cannot stop ( and will not) dashing myself with hugo boss 6. sorry somethings will never change. but is nice having my office at home. the drive is not bad either lol

Love the answers to the MadLibs a la Marketman! Quite an entertaining read.

Off topic (and after reading MM's previous blog on Philippine food being featured in Saveur), just wanted to share with everyone that Adobo has been featured as a recipe in the Fast and Fresh "Make It Tonight" Section of the Dec 09/Jan 10 issue of Fine Cooking magazine. They even defined Adobo in their Test Kitchen (Glossary, page 103) as follows:

ADOBO
"The Spanish word adobo means "marinade" or seasoning," but depending on what part of the world you're in, the style of seasoning can vary greatly, in Cuba and Puerto Rice, adobo is a seasoned salt or spice mix, whereas in Mexico, it's more likely to mean a spicy tomato-based sauce, like the kind used to marinate chipotle chilies in a can of chipoltes en adobo. The recipe for Chicken Adobo on page 108 is based on the Filipino style of Adobo, which involves stewing meat, usually pork or chicken, in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and live black peppercorns. When Spanish colonists arrived in the Philippines in the 16th century, they were introduced to this indigenous style of cooking, which they called adobo. The name struck, and to this day, adobo - with its Filipino/Malaysian roots and Spanish name - is considered a national dish of the Philippines."

For those who'd the take a sneak peak at the published recipe..
https://www.finecooking.com/recipes/chicken-adobo-rice.aspx

They even included a nutritional breakdown for it on page 115.

Another magazine called Homemaker's (Canadian publication) also recently featured Filipino Festive Stuffed Bone Turkey (aka Rellenong Pabo) as its cover recipe. Unfortunately, I don't have an original copy of the recipe because I read it while waiting for a doctor's appointment. The cover photo looked delish. I think this is the recipe though: https://www.ukrainianclassickitchen.ca/YaBB.pl?num=1255131682/0.

I think it's wonderful that Filipino cooking is being recognized in publications here in North America, don't you?
