mar, any of the pots and pans featured in this post are highly recommended. On a tighter budget, start with cast iron…I think they sell lodge brand cast iron at some Shoemart Homewares Sections.

thanks marketman. I’m new in your site and have learned a lot already. Was wondering if their is a site like this where people can freely ask questions. Or better yet a site which has a forum to chat on line in real time. wouldnt that be great. a culinary club restaurant hopping the metro would be great to just like what my friend does when he arranges for his culinary tours. MArketman do you know where i can get those strainers with handles which chinese cooks use to take out deep fried food from the fryer? The one I saw on TV had bamboo handles. Can’t seem to find one. I always end up using tongs used for gilling
