ging, you are right, we liked the Hofer gown that was amazingly statuesque, with a pleated? but sideways skirt and train… and Mrs. MM thought the pearl encrusted jacket of JC Buendia? was interesting too. bluegirl, I took some photos (not as good as the ones from last night) but for the most part just watched the show…

Hi Marketman! Did you take pictures of the 3rd evening???? I’m hoping you did for us readers who could not be there. Ging’s opinion makes it all the more intriguing .. would love to see picture of the works of Oj Hofer and Philip Rodriguez!

Hiya Marketman! What a coincidence! I was at Sposabella last night. Did not watch the first 2 nights because by experience, I know i will see mostly outrageous and non-wearable clothes that i think were just designed for the catwalk and photo ops.

But the Sposabella was fantastic. In my humble opinion, I believe Monique Lhullier’s designs were overshadowed by local designers like Oj Hofer and Philip Rodriguez.

I miss those times when i used to regularly watch Fashion shows in Cebu. Lately, these shows seems to be far few in between. Call me biased, but i have to say my favorite designers would have to be from Cebu. i grew up with my mom who frequented the atelier of Philip Rodriguez and was utterly thrilled when he made my beautiful wedding gown (Monique L. apprenticed under him in her teens, and considers him her first mentor- check her interviews). Wish i was in Cebu right now, i’m a just a week too late to see this show! Have a fabulous time tonight MM =)
