I worked for a long time with a Jamaican boss who introduced me to Jamaican cooking which I found awesome, straightforward and piquant although I adore the Jamaican blue mountain coffee beans and (21 year old) Appleton Estate rum that he repeatedly brought back for me even more, the pitiful husky Jamaican mangoes he smuggled through the Canadian customs not quite.
