A Gucci Neck…

26 Jan, 2009

I am starting week 3 with a continuing saga of neck pain so I have decided to seek professional help. After a short phone consultation with a seriously good neck surgeon, he suggested that I get a neck x-ray before coming in to see him for a check-up. I was at a…

Leche Frita (Killing Me Softly…)

26 Jan, 2009

Fried Leche Flan! Egads, a more heart-stopping dessert or snack, literally or figuratively, I cannot imagine. Jun, a reader, left a comment on an earlier post on leche flan that I should try this suggested use for extra leche flan – fry it. It turns out I have the exact same…

Leche Flan, Round I

22 Jan, 2009

Okay, round one of the “Leche Flan Battle” with “De Lata” on one corner of the ring, and “Baka/Kalabaw” on the other corner. Heeheehee. “De Lata” used Alaska condensed milk (300ML) and Alaska evaporated milk (370 ML) , 6 large whole eggs and sugar for the caramel coating. No other flavorings….
