Snapshots from the Midnight Explosions…

IMG_0574

We were back on the helipad of a building at the corner of Ayala and Makati avenues for the midnight fireworks display. We have been going there for the last few years (as guests of friends) as it is the PERFECT vantage point from which to enjoy the pyrotechnic display. And this year’s show was wonderful!!! Just some shots of the fireworks before I tuck into bed… That’s the Teen and some friends near the building’s edge…

  1. Fabulous fireworks display, beautiful photos! A Happy New Year to MM and family and all!!

Hope the kids were content watching rather than firing their own…so many injuries related to firecrackers.

  2. A few years ago I watched the fireworks from the InterContinental which people started shooting or maybe they were test runs around 8 pm. I saw so many “tests” that night that the smoke just ruined the real show at midnight. I see that the rooftop view was high above all that smoke. Beautiful shots! Happy New Year MM and family!

  3. so beautiful! reminds me of the fireworks competion(s) in ‘baywalk’ roxas blvd, manila …

  4. Fantastic pictures MM! Happy New Year to you and your family and to all fellow Market Manila junkies!

  5. Shooting fireworks tip: use a tripod, shoot in the longest shutter speed available or better the bulb mode. I tried these in the fireworks competition at MOA last Feb and I got really great pics like crysanthemum flowers. :)

  6. Amazing pyrotechnic display! Thanks so much for sharing, MM. Makes me homesick, for setting off fireworks is prohibited where I am. Happy New Year to you and your family!

  7. Very Charlie’s Angels ang peg ng first photo.:)). Thanks for sharing these wonderful shots, MM. Happy 2013!!!
