Several folks have asked what will be on the menu for the Saturday Night Eyeball. Here is the preliminary menu. Some last minute changes are possible if sourcing is a problem, it will be at the Chef’s discretion…
Bruschetti:
Portabella mushroom with truffle oil
Eggplant and basil with balsamic vinegar
Asparagus and soft boiled quail egg in brown butter vinaigrette
Stuffed squash blossoms
Pizza (made in their pugon/pizza oven):
Pizza Neapolitan Pizza
Pizza Margherita
Meat:
Pugon Roasted Porkloin with ricotta, thyme and sundried tomatoes
Pasta:
Dried pasta – Penne with italian fennel sausage
Fresh pasta – fettuccine with mushrooms and garlic
Salad:
Mixed greens with prosciutto crudo, melons, and lemon mustard vinaigrette
Drinks:
Iced Tea/Soda
Cash bar for any other drinks. Depending on what is at the market tomorrow a.m., and if I am inspired, I may add a dish or two…
Not too shabby for PHP550, if you ask me…

aridelros, actually, at the eyeball last year, the 30 participants could have all kept going for hours without me in the room. If the right type of folks show up, they will have enough to talk about if they only stick to food as a topic of conversation. Last year, there were few awkward moments and a more lively, intelligent, varied, erudite group of people would be hard to put together even if planned carefully… And no, there are no speeches planned.

Mmmmm…menu sounds good! I’m sure the dessert table will be fantastic. Please, please post lots of pictures. I hope that the next time you organize an EB, I will be in town to attend it. In the meantime, I will have to do it vicariously through my sisters who are going. Lucky girls!

Its been two weeks since I arrive from Los Angeles. Well, since I’m on vacation in Sta. Rosa, Laguna right now, I’m going to Los Banos this morning and buy Orient Buco pies and Edna’s puto before proceeding to Gourdo’s this afternoon.

Hello Mr. MarketMan! I’m soooo excited for tonight! I shall be bringing cupcakes made by my sister Michelle =) I told her that youe a little bit disappointed with the Sonja cupcakes, that is why I suggested that she make cupcakes for our party tonight. They are chocolate cupacakes with pink frosting… hope you and our other friends will give them a try =)

Have fun and fabulous time breaking bread with MM and his wife at the Eyeball for all you attending. The dessert buffet table must be out of this world that surely will take my breath away! Great way to end a spectacular and exciting night of fun and lively conversation with a good selection of dessert.
Whatever you guys feel like bringing for dessert is fine…I usually have fruit for dessert Nikka, so that’s perfectly fine…I think we will all overdose on calories tonight…
