It’s in the Mail… :)

After breakfast this morning, the first errand was to drop off some packages at the local post office… One puto bumbong steamer headed to Canada, one steamer to New Jersey and one pineapple eye remover to Guam (yes, it is considered in the U.S., with a U.S. like zip code and very reasonable mail/post rate tariffs)! And a second pineapple eye remover will also hopefully be on its way in the days ahead to another winner in New Jersey… Please drop me an email when you folks receive the items.

It was a frigid 18F or -8C this morning as we got into the car, and a bottle of water Mrs. MM left in the car the evening before had turned to ice! Yipes. I like the brisk weather, but maybe not this brisk, and not for long periods of time. :)

  1. Looking good, MM.

Happy Thanksgiving to all marketmanila readers and of course to MM, the MRS and the TEEN and SISTER and the whole family.

Will be checking my post office box very soon! What an early Christmas present!

The feeling of winning, whatever it is , is by itself exhilarating.

  2. Happy thanksgiving to MM and family! I am looking forward to seeing Sister’s thanksgiving table this year. I hope you’ll post pictures.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving MM!
I must say, nagbago na yata ang No Photo of MM policy mo, hehehe!

btw, saw your cameo on Hidden Cities! Funny!

  4. Footloose, hahaha, I love the Bond peacoat, but I think I need to lose 20 pounds AND hit the gym for 6 months to do it justice… :) And since I now know it’s on backorder until January, I can’t even use it until next winter… However, I will say that if you blow up the photo above, you will notice similar leather detailing at the back of the neck on my jacket, and the inside flaps of the pockets (not visible) are lined in leather as well. But the coat I am wearing is at least 4+ years old… Oh, and but of course you would have spied the Tom Ford sunglasses. From Bond’s Quantum of Solace, except in brown. not blue… :)

  5. Any HK tailor can knock it off in no time at all and in even luxurious fabric at less than half the price. You are safe with them as long as you are ordering it in fabrics with no stripes. They sometimes do not have the same sense of direction as the rest of us.

  6. Footloose, hahaha, yes, I laughed out loud at the fabric comment. We once had a little dress made for our daughter, using a cotton fabric with liberty print Sister had sent, and when the smocked dress arrived, the birds were hanging upside down on the branches! Needless to say, there wasn’t much you could do to fix it.

  7. Happy Thanksgiving MM and family! Are you having the traditional turkey with the works? If so, please share photos with us!

  8. Bearhug0127, i agree, the feeling of winning, whatever it is, is by itself exhilarating! Funny thing, I’ve yet to win any of MM’s contests but i feel as excited as the winners when they are announced! My turn will come…. :-)

    Happy Thanksgiving one and all….

  9. Warm feelings, early in the morning!! Thanks, MM. Again, Happy Family Time!!

Will surely acknowledge my early gift when it comes…

    You look mahvelous!

  10. Guits, OMG, that’s AMAZING. And I would never have known that unless you left that comment and link. That post got 2,000 questions and Mr. Bourdain chose to answer about 100 or so online in that discussion…

But the best part of it all was his explanation was his views on product inclusion in his shows, his desire NOT to endorse any particular brand as a way of keeping his credibility and integrity… I SO LOVE THAT.

    Thanks. :)

  11. One more moment to be Thankful for this Holiday, MM.. I can see your grin!!!

I’m so proud of you! I come from a family of pork lovers!! And Lipitor consumers.

  12. Looking quite handsome MM, what I would not do for some good frigid weather! however on the flip side of that, I get to enjoy zubuchon anytime I want!!!

  13. You are looking rather gorgeous in the photo MM! I’m quite sure Mrs. MM wouldn’t mind strutting her eye candy (or trophy husband…hehe) in the streets of NY.

  14. It’s always when it looks bright & beautiful that the temperature gets scary. Ears get painful if one isn’t careful.

  15. Marketman is that you in the pic? You look good! :) I love your website, haven’t read your articles for a while now so i have to catch up and see what i can add to my Christmas menu.

  16. “Guam (yes, it is considered in the U.S., with a U.S. like zip code and very reasonable mail/post rate tariffs)! Hello MM. I’ve been reading your blog for a number of years now. Thanks for entertaining me for so long., always a great read. :) Please allow me to throw in my two cents on the Guam comment. Guam is a U.S. Territiory, with a U.S. zip code, because it is part of the U.S. Pretty much like sending mail to Hawaii, is what my post office told me. I am filipino but was born and raised on that beautiful island. Thanks for the little Guam explaination.

  17. Got IT, MM..I emailed you. It was delivered a week after Thanksgiving. mail was backed up due to storm. It was a belated gift for me…I reached the 6th decade !

  18. Natie, so happy to hear you received it. I will inform the person who sent it! Now that just leaves the package to Guam, and Bettyq in Canada… :) And Happy Birthday! :)
