Zubuchon on “Wine & Food Travel”! :)

Regular readers may recall I hosted a dinner for some friends from Bacchus, that fabulous wine purveyor, in the garden in Cebu one evening a couple of months ago, post here. It just so happened that a writer, Katherine Hsia, of the Hawaii-based blog “Wine & Food Travel” was visiting Cebu that weekend, and of course we invited her and a companion to join us for dinner that evening. On the menu, roast pig of course, and serendipitously, several wines from Bacchus. It doesn’t get any more “happy coincidence” of “stars aligned” than that! :)

Here is a link to the post that Katherine wrote, scroll down to the end for a quick mention for Zubuchon. Thanks Katherine, glad you enjoyed the evening, food and wine. It was a pleasure to have you and Mario as our guests.

  1. Congratulations MM! That’s one goodlooking Zubuchon! I can almost hear the crackling sound of the skin just by looking at the picture.

  2. Congrats on the mention!

But if only she had used the word “infamous” correctly, or rather, if only she had not used it at all! But do not worry, Market Man, some of us know your lechon is far from infamous (unless you consider the cholesterol-raising fatty goodness of it!).

  3. I wonder what the dickens she means by infamous. Nobody but nobody should ever use a word when they are not sure of its meaning.

  4. Infamous? Not a very appropriate term to describe Zubuchon. Congrats on the mention, though. Gotta try Zubuchon again once I go back to Cebu. It’s been a while

  5. I focused on “pork perfection” and “best pig ever”…. perfection, indeed. Can’t wait to return to Cebu to have some pork perfection and a host of Zubuchon derivatives.

  6. Congratulations talaga!! Wahhh… I want to go home… destination airport – Cebu! Tutal sobrang congested na sa NAiA.
